Service Description: The Isle of Wight Council Highways Department at Engineering Services are responsible for notifying members of the public of temporary traffic lights and possible traffic disruption as a result of road works that are underway or are programmed to take place on the island.

Answer: To request a road closure, you need to put your request in writing on the road closure application form available from Engineering Services, Enterprise House, St Cross Business Park, Monks Brook, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 5WB or email: [email protected]. Please note that certain restrictions apply and that a minimum notice of 28 days is required from date of approval before the closure can start.
