Service Description: The Adult Finance pages provide information about the costs and any contributions you may have to make for any services received through Adult Social Care. Each person is assessed on an individual basis to determine their contribution. Some people may have a minimal amount to pay and some people may have to pay the full amount. For those people that have to fund their own care and support we have included a page providing information, advice and support from external organisations.

Answer: If you have over £23,250 you will be liable for the full cost of any services provided. Capital of £14,250 or less is fully disregarded. Capital over £14,250 and up to £23,250 is converted into an “assumed” weekly income using a simple formula; this is called a tariff income.
