Service Description: To register a birth and obtain certificates. Both parents must attend together if they are not married, to be named in the register entry. When registering twins a double appointment is required. Re-registrations to add father's details if not given when first registered or to show that Mother and Father are now married to one another if not married at time of registration.

Answer: Anyone can apply for a copy of anyones birth, marriage and/or death certificate as long as they have enough relevant information. Postage for certificates is £1 per order, and copy certificates are £10.00 each. A chargeable priority service is available, otherwise allow up to 5 working days.
