Your FAQ

Question: How can I dispose of my fridge, freezer or fridge freezer?

Answer: Householders may take fridges to the household waste recycling centres free of charge. Alternatively, the Council can arrange the collection of the unit from your household. There is a waiting list of approximately 2 weeks and a cheque for £20 plus VAT @ 20% (£24.00) must be sent to Island Waste in advance of your collection. It is no longer possible to accept cash. If you would like us to arrange collection, you need to contact the Council on 821000 or [email protected] or use the form on the web site. You will be contacted and a date for collection agreed. Cheques for payment should be made payable to Island Waste Services.
