Service Description: The Health Promotion Unit is a key self-managed team within the Public Health function of the Primary Care Trust and plays an important part in preventative health care. The health promotion team carry out a range of preventative work and support in the following health areas: *Coronary heart disease, cancer and diabetes *Sexual health *Oral health *Drug education for young people *Smoking cessation *Mental health and well-being *Injury prevention *Preventing falls in older people *Teenage pregnancy
