Service Description: Northwood House is an iconic early-Victorian Grade II* listed house surrounded by parkland, which occupies a prime position above the town. It was built in the early nineteenth century for the Ward family, in whose hands it remained until in 1929 it was gifted to the town of Cowes, and subsequently the Isle of Wight Council. As of September 2010 the Isle of Wight Council has withdrawn from any involvement in the House or the Park and the Management Trustees have been able to take over responsibility
