Briefing Notes and Datasets

Briefing notes and datasets were compiled by the Island’s Public Health Information Analyst, and provided information used in the creation of the JSNA. The list of briefing notes and datasets is updated and expanded as and when new data is available.
Datasets provide data and charts on a number of health related issues, including the underlying determinants of health and conditions which account for preventable diseases and deaths on the Island.
Briefing notes present and explain a range of health issues, in particular areas of relevance to the Isle of Wight population. The data includes time trends, comparisons between groups and is presented graphically (via charts and maps where appropriate).
Where possible, Datasets and Briefing Notes address Health Inequalities within the Island - i.e. differences in health experienced by different groups in the Island population which are avoidable, and therefore held to be unacceptable.
