The Museum with its unusual architecture was built in 1905 as a furniture shop. In the mid 1970's it became a car showroom. The Ventnor & district local history society purchased the premises in 1987. Since that date the museum has held exhibitions every year. Apart from the exhibition hall there is an extensive archive section with many hundreds of items referring to Ventnor and the surrounding area. Research enquiries are most welcome.
