Your FAQ

Question: What is a Child Protection Case Conference?

Answer: It is a meeting that may be called, after Children & Families Services, and sometimes the Police, have looked into particular concerns related to the care of a child or children. There are a number of professionals present, as well as the family and child, if of an age to understand what is happening.

A decision will be made, after information has been shared, about whether the child or children are at risk of significant harm, or have suffered significant harm. If this is the case the name of the child or children, will be placed on the Isle of Wight Child Protection Register.
