AGENDA

1. MINUTES

To agree the Minutes arising at the meeting held on 17 May 2007 (Paper A)

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

To invite Members to declare any interest they might have in the matters on the agenda.

Members will be invited at the start of the meeting to declare any personal interest that they may have relating to any item on the Agenda, and having done so, to consider whether they also have a prejudicial interest in that item. Advice on this can be sought from the Interim Director of Legal and Democratic Services, wherever possible before the meeting starts.

3. PUBLIC QUESTION TIME

Questions may be asked without notice but to guarantee a full reply at the meeting, the question must be delivered in writing or by electronic mail to Committee Services no later than 6.00 pm on Friday, 8 June 2007.

In addition, members of the public are invited to make representations to the Committee regarding its future Work Plan, either in writing at any time or at a meeting under this agenda item.

4. ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

To receive a briefing from the Cabinet Member for Safer Communities, Cllr Ian Ward on the Council’s strategies relating to anti-social behaviour. This will assist the Committee in scoping its proposed enquiry into this matter.

5. USE OF CONSULTANTS SC10/06

To consider the final report, and recommendations, relating to the enquiry (Paper B)

6. RECYCLING AND WASTE MANAGEMENT SC01/07

To agree the scoping document for the enquiry (Paper C)

7. THE ISLAND’S BUILT ENVIRONMENT SC02/07

To agree the scoping document for the enquiry (Paper D)

8. PROGRESS ON CURRENT ENQUIRIES

Lead members to advise on any key issues affecting enquiries.

9. FORWARD PLAN

The Forward Plan for July to October 2007 will be published on 15 June 2007. Due to the change in date of this Committee the current Plan is that which was considered at the last meeting.
