To agree the notes of evidence arising at the meeting held on 7 September 2005.

 

2)     DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

 

To invite Members to declare any interest they might have in the matters on the agenda.

 

3)      SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMME C1/05

 

a)     Extended Schools and the Healthy Schools Programme

 

i)        To receive a briefing paper on extended schools and the Healthy Schools Programme from Mr Keith Simmonds, Principal Inspector and Head of Learning Effectiveness. (Paper B – to follow). Dr Marguerite Howick, Extended Schools Co-ordinator; Mr Phil Dickenson of ContinU and Mrs Helen Lewis, Healthy Schools Lead Officer will also be in attendance to provide supporting evidence.

 

ii)      To receive evidence on healthy eating from Mrs Nuala Grandcourt, a representative of a community group of parents and carers.

 

iii)    To receive evidence on sport and physical education and pupil attainment from Mr Lee Matthews, Community Leisure Development Manager. (Paper C – to follow).
