Any other member of the Council may attend the meeting and may speak with the permission of the Chairman provided that notification has been given to the Committee Services section before the commencement of the meeting, such notification to detail which items the member is attending for.
AGENDA
1. MINUTES - PAPER A - To confirm the Minutes of the meeting held on 12 May 2003.
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST - To invite Members to declare any interest they might have in the matters on the agenda.
3. PUBLIC QUESTION TIME - To guarantee a full reply at the meeting, the question must be delivered in writing or by electronic mail to the Committee Administrator no later than 10.00 am on Thursday, 5 June 2003. Each question must give the name and address of the questioner. Questions may be asked at the meeting without prior notice but in these circumstances there is no guarantee that a fully reply will be given at the meeting.
4. URGENT BUSINESS - To consider any matters which, in the Chairman's opinion, are urgent.
5. PRESENTATION OF PETITION - To receive a petition from the Isle of Wight Animal Prevention and Action Group requesting the assistance of the Council in the establishment of a low cost spaying and neutering service for the pets of people on low income and consideration as to the inclusion of this matter on the Select Committee’s workplan.

6. FOOD SAFETY ENFORCEMENT - PAPER B - To consider the report of the Head of Consumer Protection.
7. FIRE AUTHORITY INTEGRATED RISK MANAGEMENT PLANS - PAPER C - To consider the report of the Chief Fire Officer.
8. MEMBERS’ QUESTION TIME - A question must be submitted in writing or by electronic mail to the Committee Administrator no later than 10.00 am on Friday, 6 June 2003.
9. NEXT MEETING - The next scheduled meeting will be held on Monday, 14 July 2003 at 10.00 am at County Hall, Newport. The agenda items are likely to include reports on:
• S.17 Officer for Crime and Disorder - To look at the Council’s responsibilities under S.17
• Youth Justice System - To monitor the partnership workings of the Youth Justice System.
• Budget Monitoring
