Title: FINANCIAL POSITION AS AT 31 MAY 2002

REPORT OF THE TREASURER FOR THE TOURISM PARTNERSHIP

SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The report presents for information details of old financial year, 2001-02 outturn, and of current year expenditure and income to date.

CONTENT

1. A statement detailing net expenditure against budget for 2001/02, together with detail of expenditure and income to date for the current financial year is attached as Appendix A.

2. The end of year position for financial year 2001-02 is an underspend of ,12,279, subject to any further year end transactions. A carry forward of this amount is to be requested.

3. With regard to the current financial year the only variance to date of any significance is an overspend on the Walking Festival, but provision was set aside at the beginning of the year specifically to offset this eventuality.
