Members considered what action
to adopt in respect of a wooden building, which is being built without the
benefit of planning permission on the edge of Windgate Copse, Newtown, Isle of
Wight
RESOLVED :
THAT
an Enforcement Notice be served on the landowner,
requiring him to dismantle the building and remove the timber from the land
within his ownership. Time for
compliance three months from when the Notice takes effect.

The Schedule of Appeals that had been lodged and decisions made was received.
RESOLVED :
THAT the report be noted.
(d)
Paper C – Policy in respect of Publicity of
Planning Applications
Members
gave consideration to the review of the policy and procedures in respect of the
publicity (or advertising) of planning applications and other related
submissions. Whether to:
1. Continue
with the present arrangements set out in the policy document approved in July
2001.
2. Continue
with the present arrangements with appropriate amendments to the policy in
respect of the use of site notices and neighbour notification and incorporate
those changes in an amended policy with guidance notes for officers.
3. Continue
with the present arrangements but carry out a fundamental review of publicity
procedures and then incorporate them into a new policy.
RESOLVED :
THAT
continuation with the present arrangements with appropriate amendments to the
policy in respect of the use of site notices and neighbour notification and
incorporate those changes in an amended policy with guidance notes for
officers.
