5. PRESENTATION

To receive a presentation from Mr J Slater, Managing Director, Southern Tourist Board on the Cowes Yachting Survey 2000 : The Value of Yachting to the Island, undertaken on behalf of Cowes Yacht Club.
Southern Tourist Board carried out extensive field and desk based research to explore the nature of yachting related visitors to Cowes, and their subsequent value to the Island, during 2000. The presentation will highlight the economic impact of visitor and yachtsman spend on the Island, and demonstrate the importance of nurturing and developing this valuable market.
