Situated just outside of Ryde, Quarr Abbey is a working monastery set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. With free entry to the grounds, Quarr Abbey has something to suit everyone. You can visit the church and wander the grounds to experience the tranquil atmosphere, or visit the art gallery where local artists display their art work and the bookshop, where you can buy published works by a member of the community of monks along with other Abbey souvenirs. Located in Quarr abbey’s beautiful surroundings of the walled gardens, you will discover the popular licensed Teashop cafe and farm-shop. Whether indulging with a cup of tea and a slice of cake, or having lunch ‘Al fresco’ here you can sample a selection of freshly made sandwiches, Panini, soups, or chef’s specials using local produce. Adjacent to the Teashop is the stylish Farm-shop where you can browse through a variety of local products. There is also the opportunity to buy Quarr Abbey’s own Honey, pork products and Coffee specially roasted for Quarr abbey. You will also find available our own allotment grown fruit and vegetables that support local charities through the land usage scheme. Adjacent to the teashop Quarr Abbey farm-shop offers a pleasing variety of goods and souvenirs, ranging from our own Quarr abbey produce and products such as coffee to local island goodies. There is also a range of outdoor goods with everything from children’s gardening kits to ceramic plant pots and hanging baskets You will also find available our own great value allotment grown fruit and vegetables that support local charities through the abbey’s land usage scheme. From our hives and those of the training apiary, we now have in the shop, our very own honey from the Busy Bee’s of Quarr. Efforts provided from the Bee enthusiasts of the Isle of Wight Beekeepers Association. New to the Farm-shop , we have tasty Quarr Abbey bacon and pork joints from our pigs, reared at Quarr abbey and prepared and cured into bacon and various pork joints for sale in the Farm-shop. Whatever you decide upon, Quarr Abbey Teashop &Farm-shop has something to suit all tastes, and our friendly staff are always ready to make everyone feel welcome.

Opening times & prices
Open 7 days a week (except Good Friday). Winter opening hours (5/11/12 to 25/03/2013) are weekdays 10.00am-4.00pm, Sundays 11.15am-4.00pm, and summer opening hours (25/03/2013 to 4/11/2013) weekdays 10.00am-5.00pm, Sundays 11.15am-5.00pm.

Travel and Parking
Travel:- Quarr Abbey is located just off the main Newport to Ryde road, near Fishbourne. There is a bus stop located directly outside the main abbey entrance; take bus Number 9 between Newport and Ryde or Number 4 between East Cowes and Ryde
Parking:- There is plenty of free parking available
