Highways defect reporting

Welcome to the highways defect reporting service.

To report a new defect we will guide you through a few short steps that will help us accurately identify new defects and deal with them quickly.  The steps are as follows:

1. Find the road you wish to report a defect for.  Enter the road name and preferably a town to display a list of roads.
2. Select the road from the results that has the defect you are reporting by clicking on 'Report Defect'.
3. You will be asked to sign into your 'My Profile' account.  If you have not created an account you can sign up at this stage.  We ask you to sign in so that we can manage the call and our contact with you better.
4. You will be given an option of defect types that we are able to accept reports for through this site.  Please select the type of defect that you wish to report.
5. To help us accurately find the defect we ask you to add a description of the defect location and to add any comments that you feel are helpful to us in dealing with the defect. Please do not include any personal information at this stage.
6. In order for us to deal with the fault we may need to contact you, so we ask that you enter your personal contact details into the form provided.
7. We will indicate whether the report was made successfully and give you a reference that you can use when contacting the council regarding the report.
