Musical Instrument Assisted Purchase Scheme

|
As part of our service to pupils receiving instrumental
tuition at LEA schools we are able, by arrangement with local Customs &
Excise, to provide the opportunity of purchasing instruments free of VAT. To
qualify for this scheme pupils must be studying the instrument in school as
part of a national curriculum course (Music) and must use the instrument weekly
in school during normal school hours.
Tax exemption obviously represents a considerable saving, especially when
educational discounts are taken into account. These
Guidance Notes show some examples of
typical prices for student instruments through this scheme. Before placing
a firm order for an instrument parents should, however, consult their child's
instrumental teacher, who will be happy to provide up to date
information concerning price and availability of any instrument.
Please use this form if you wish to place an order. Completed forms should be
endorsed by the pupil's instrumental teacher and forwarded, along with a cheque
(payable to "IWC") for 50% of the total estimated tax-free cost of the
instrument including 5% administration charge, to the address below. In the
event of a late price increase parents will be contacted directly before we
proceed with the order. Regretfully it is not possible to offer facilities for
payment by instalments. New instruments will be delivered to pupils at school
and the balance due (including any carriage costs) will become payable within
28 days of this date.
