New applications should insert notice in local and national newspaper of intention to operate a zoo at least two months before operation.

Operational Details
The additional particulars with regard to the zoo and its operation required by Section 2(2) of the Act are as follows:-

Animals
Taxonomic category of order and appropriate number of each group (as an alternative to listing here a current stock list may be attached to this application, please indicate if doing so)

Accommodation
Give brief details of the animal accommodation provided:

Number, type, appropriate size, security of enclosures, including confined quarters during the night or winter, and the grouping of animals.

Maintenance and Well-being
* Give brief details of arrangements for the animals' maintenance and well-being, including information about the provision, storage and preparation of food, and arrangements for the veterinary care, including preventive measures

You may submit the form on-line with your payment, then submit the supporting documentation by post

Supporting Evidence
* a plan showing the layout of the zoo
* the appropriate fee (see below current fees) 
* a copy of the certificate in respect of the electrical installation

The electrical inspection should be made by an approved contractor (see the attached list of the
approved contractors.)

* Any additional information required.

Please note if the electrical certificate is not available at the present time the application form and fee should still be sent without delay.

Cost £774.00 Initial licence for 4 years (exclusive of vet fees)
Cost £900.00 Renewals for 6 years (exclusive of vet fees)
You are responsible for the payment of the fee for the vet inspection. Note: the licence will not be issued until the vet�s fee is paid in full.

This form must be signed and all the relevant documents, detailed on the form, presented to the licensing section before a decision is made and the licence may be granted. Either print off the completed form, sign and post to the licensing department along with the required documents or attend council offices after you have submitted the form online

The application fee is not refundable in the event of the application being refused or otherwise.
