If you are the child’s parent and you contact us a first response unit member will discuss your concerns in order to identify the right level and type of support needed and to decide what to do next.
If you are a child over the age of 12, you can contact children’s first response yourself to discuss your own needs.
If you have concerns about a child and you are not their parent, unless there are urgent child protection concerns, first response unit members will need to know that you have permission from the parents to discuss their child’s needs.
However if you believe a child is at immediate risk of harm contact the police using 999.
