Long stay car parks are located in all towns Islandwide and allow for stays of 24 hours from the available tariffs. Additional days can be purchased by displaying the required number of day tickets side by side on the dashboard of your vehicle.
The tariffs can also be purchased using the paybyphone system, with instructions and location numbers displayed on the ticket machines.
Permits are also available that allow unlimited stay within any long stay car park.

Short stay car parks are located near to town centres and allow a maximum stay of five hours.

If you are a non permit holder you will need to make payment at the machines using either cash, credit/debit card (at selected machines) or the paybyphone system, which has instructions and location numbers displayed on the ticket machines.

The council operates and maintains a number of car parks that are free to use, situated in various locations across the Island. These are subject to maximum stay restrictions, which will be stated at the locations.
