Your FAQ

Question: I believe the scheme changed in April 2010. What were the changes?

Answer: From 1 April 2010, age-related card holders (cards with a blue border on the right hand side) will only be able to travel on the Isle of Wight between the hours of 0930 and 2300 Mondays – Fridays and anytime on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

Disabled card holders (cards with an orange border) issued to Isle of Wight residents will still be allowed free travel at all times.

Also, travel companions and residents with ‘severe and enduring’ mental health problems who hold the New Islander Cards will still be allowed unlimited travel on the Isle of Wight only.
