Your FAQ

Question: What is a registered childminder?

Answer: Registered childminders look after your child along with other children in their own home, they are allowed to care for up to six children under the age of eight, including their own but only three of them can be under the age of five.
Self employed, they decide on working hours, most are willing to work early mornings, some are also willing to work evenings and weekends and most drop off and pick up from local schools.
All childminders are required to have completed a basic training course, including first aid, and most go on to do further training and proffessional development.
