Island HomeFinder Scheme


Service Description: To register for social housing on the Isle of Wight. The register is administered by the council and covers all the housing associations based upon the Isle of Wight. Housing associations are 'Registered Social Landlords' and not private landlords. All social housing properties advertised on the Island Homefinder Scheme are housing assocation properties as there is no council housing on the Isle of Wight.

Question: After being released from prison, I have nowhere to live. Can you help?

Answer: If you are currently in prison and have nowhere to live once you are released, please contact the Probation Office on 01983 523265 who will liaise with Housing Services on your behalf.

If you have already been released from prison and are facing homelessness, please call Housing Services on 01983 823040 and they will fill out an Initial Enquiry form, will look into your situation and will get back to you.
