Service Description: In accordance with the Gaming Act 1967 and the Lotteries and Amusement Act 1976 any prospective occupiers of amusement parks, arcades and other premises where gaming machines or amusements with prizes will be provided, must first obtain a permit issued by the local authority. The precise permit required depends on the maximum prize value.

Question: Can I apply for a Premises licence even if my Operating licence application has not yet been determined/issued?

Answer: Yes, although your premises licence can not be determined until after your operating licence has been decided. However, the bidding process for obtaining a new casino premises licence is yet to be determined and you are advised to refer to the DCMS website for updates.
