Question: I operate public weighing equipment, do I need a licence?

Answer: Yes. Operators of public weighing equipment must hold a certificate of competence from a Chief Trading Standards Officer. Applicants will be expected to show that they can operate the weighbridge safely and correctly, and complete all necessary paperwork satisfactorily.
