MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE REGULATORY APPEALS COMMITTEE HELD AT COUNTY HALL, NEWPORT, ISLE OF WIGHT ON 22 OCTOBER 2004 COMMENCING AT 10.00 AM

7. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

There were no interests declared at this stage.

8. REPORT OF THE HEAD OF PLANNING SERVICES

The Chairman welcomed those present to the meeting and introduced the members of the Committee.

The Chairman advised Members that a request for an adjournment of the meeting had been received from the objector. The objectors representative advised the Committee that his client was currently out of the Country and had not been given sufficient time to return. In addition during the course of the meeting the Chairman was informed that the applicant had received the agenda and paper work late and therefore had not attended the meeting.

The Committee then adjourned into private session in order to take legal advice and to consider their decision. Upon reconvening in public, it was :

RESOLVED :

THAT the meeting be adjourned to a date to be decided because :

i) The objector had insufficient time to return to the Country and instruct adequate legal representation

ii) The applicant had received the papers late.
