Title MEASURING PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
REPORT OF THE HEAD OF
PAID SERVICE
SUMMARY /
PURPOSE
This report is the first quarterly
report to this Committee on the performance of services against selected
indicators
BACKGROUND
The measuring performance task
group of the Resources Select Committee has developed a 'traffic light' system
to show performance. Where comparisons are possible this shows:
- Better than average & improving performance
(green=good performance)
- Better than average but declining performance as
amber (strong warning)
- Worse than average but improving performance as
yellow (warning)
- Worse than average and worsening performance as
red (poor performance)
The attached table contains two of
the statutory indicators for the services under this Committees remit that the
Chief Fire Officer feels are worthy of note. Future reports could include a
wider range of indicators depending on performance but also local requirements.
