ISLE OF WIGHT FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICE AND EMERGENCY PLANNING SERVICE PLAN

REPORT OF THE CHIEF FIRE OFFICER

SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Fire and Public Safety Select Committee Work Plan specified that Service Plans for the financial year 2003/04 would be scrutinised at this meeting of the Select Committee.

BACKGROUND

The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service and Emergency Planning Service Plan for 2003/04 is attached at Appendix A.

The Service Plan has been compiled in accordance with the interim Service Plan format specified for this current year. A revised format will be in place for Service Plans for the year 2004/05 onwards.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS

All costs to be contained within the approved service budgets for the current year.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Members are asked to endorse the Service Plan.
