- This
Report will be short as I will be addressing Full Council earlier this
evening about two important items from the Scrutiny Committee. Firstly the
Members Allowances Report
agreed by my Committee last month. Secondly with regard to our recommended new co-optee, Mr Charles
Rogers.
- Our
meeting tomorrow evening will see the initial public exploratory session for
our proposed enquiry into Recycling
& Waste Minimisation, which the Director of the Environment and
Neighbourhoods has agreed to help us with.
- Cllr
George Brown will also be
attending to feed back to us on the outcome of our three Planning-related Reports from last year.
- Reports
on four outstanding enquiries – Car
Parking, Outside Consultants, School Attainment, and Supporting People -
will be concluded either next month or in May at the latest.
- Our
standing enquiry into Revenue
Budget delivery and Council Reserves will be re-commencing very soon.
- I am
also commencing a new enquiry into Public
Access to Council Services in April.
- An Annual Report, at this the end of a
year with me as Scrutiny Chair, will soon be in preparation.
