OUTLINE OF ENQUIRY

 

To clarify the need for the current sprinkler and hosepipe restrictions introduced by Southern Water Authority.

 

 

REASON FOR ENQUIRY

 

To ensure that the Council is seen to be proactive in promoting reduced water consumption and that there is better public understanding for the need for the current restrictions and the long term strategy of Southern Water Authority on water supply.

 

 

PROPOSED OUTCOME/S

 

To assist Southern Water Authority in identifying and promoting how water consumption can be reduced to ensure the long term stability of the water supply in the area.
