OUTLINE OF ENQUIRY To ascertain the
effectiveness of resources allocated to improve school attainment on the
Island in 2005/6 at Key Stage 1, 2, 3 and 4, GCSE and A/AVCE level. |

REASON FOR ENQUIRY To investigate whether the additional resources
made available for school improvement in 2005/6 were
effective and fully supporting schools and pupils. |

PROPOSED OUTCOME/S To ensure the
effectiveness of additional resources being made available through the Council’s
School Improvement Strategy had a positive impact upon school attainment in
2005/6, and if not to make recommendations to ensure they do in 2006/7. |
