REASON FOR ENQUIRY

 

To ascertain how the views of stakeholders were obtained and taken into account, and what other sources of evidence and advice were taken into account in arriving at the decision

PROPOSED OUTCOME/S

 

To ensure a decision was made which was proportionate, balanced, and evidence based.

 

TERMS OF REFERENCE

 

Information, evidence and advice from:

 

·         Cabinet Member for Children

·         Senior officers within the Children’s Services Directorate

 

About:

 

·         The analysis of the evidence which took place about the merits of the systems for change, including the report from 4S.

 

 

What will not be included:

 

·         The emerging school improvement programme.

·         The resources being deployed to support that programme.

·         The role of stakeholders in developing and delivering the school improvement programme.

Corporate Plan/Community strategy:

 

The Council has yet to adopt a new community strategy and corporate plan reflecting the priorities of the new administration. Service specific strategies and plans remain in place and determine the strategic direction of service development.
