To receive
evidence on the Corporate Enforcement enquiry (Saf 4.05) from Mr Rob Owen,
Head of Consumer Protection |
1. Cllr Williams expressed his thanks to the officers who had facilitated the corporate enforcement workshop which had taken place on 17 October 2006, and to those who had assisted in making the day so helpful. 2. Rob Owen gave feedback on the outcomes from the corporate enforcement workshop by way of a written report, and the following outcomes for inclusion in the draft Blue Paper were agreed: · The four block approach appeared to be supported. · That enforcement must be consistent. · There is a benefit in having GIS systems which talk to each other, and moving towards having a corporate system. · The sharing of information is essential. · Joint training would be useful, perhaps by giving more status to the Prosecutors Forum. 3. The Single Non Emergency Number (SNEN) was also discussed, and it was suggested that as Environmental Crime was one of the four blocks, this block may be able to pick up SNEN type issues. |
