The Accredited Community Support Officer (ACSO) Scheme was initiated and developed into a completed piece of work under the previous administration. On 14 July 2005 the Policy Commission recommended that this work be forwarded to Cabinet for consideration. The work is currently being reviewed by Directors Group prior to its submission to Cabinet. This line of enquiry will now be removed from the Commission’s work programme and thereafter any further developments with respect to this project will be reported directly to Cabinet.
