1. NOTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING

To agree the notes of evidence arising at the meeting held on 7 December 2005.

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

To invite Members to declare any interest they might have in the matters on the agenda.

3. THE DRAFT ISLE OF WIGHT CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S PLAN 2006 TO 2009 (Paper B)

To consider a report by Mr Simon Dear, IW Children’s Trust Development Advisor, on the initial draft Children and Young People’s Plan. For this item representatives of YSPEAK will be attending. As part of their project they will be filming this part of the meeting.

4. SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS (SEN) STRATEGY AND EXCLUSION CENTRE (Paper C)

To consider the report of the Head of Pupil Services, Mr Rob Faulkner, on the results of the consultation exercise on the draft SEN Strategy and School Exclusion Centre.

5. JOINT AREA REVIEW (JAR) – PROGRESS REPORT 1 (Paper D)

To consider the report of the Acting Strategic Director for Children’s Services, Mr Ian Sandbrook, on the forthcoming Joint Area Review of Children’s Services.
