The purpose of the meeting will be in relation to the Committee’s responsibility of health scrutiny:
1. To agree the notes of evidence of the meeting held on 27th July 2005 (Paper A)
2. To receive information and gain an understanding of the new ‘Healthcheck’ process of NHS Trust self-assessment against core standards, including how the Health Scrutiny Committee can be involved in the process, from:
(a) Brian Johnston, Risk Manager, Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Trust
(b) Yasin Rahim, Healthcare Commission
Paper B, “Assessment for improvement, the annual Health check – criteria for assessing core standards” produced by the Healthcare Commission in 2005 is attached for background information
