151. URGENT BUSINESS - SPEEDWAY, SMALLBROOK STADIUM, ASHEY ROAD, RYDE
The Chairman agreed to an item of urgent business as a decision was needed before the next meeting. Members were reminded that the Planning Committee meeting on 20 February had approved an application to hold a press and practice day at Smallbrook Stadium on 25 March 2001 on condition that a suitable bund was constructed by the beginning of the 2001 season.
It was reported that this could not be done in time for the beginning of the season and thus there would be technically a in breach of that approval. Officers had however received assurances that this could be completed within three to six months.
RESOLVED :
THAT the bund be completed within three to six months.
