RESOLVED :

 

THAT subject to minute 80 (a) (i), item 4 being corrected to read “as he knew the Applicant through his work”, the Minutes of the meeting held on 15 February 2005 be confirmed.

Interests were declared in the following matters:

 

All Committee members and Officers declared a personal interest in minute 86, item 2, 5 Avenue Road, Shanklin – as they knew the Speaker who spoke on behalf of the Applicant.

 

Mr J H Fleming declared a personal interest in minute 86, item 2, 5 Avenue Road, Shanklin – as had been contacted by both the Applicant and Objectors on this application.

Members felt that having viewed the site, the impact of overlooking on the neighbouring property was not significant enough to warrant a refusal

 

Decision:

Contrary to Officers recommendation, Members granted Conditional Planning approval

Conditions to be added regarding the moving of decking approximately 0.8 meters away from the neighbouring boundary and erection of 1.8 opaque screen
