Comments:

Members considered that the balconies and decking were inappropriate in this location and also considered that the roof line of the properties should be set at a level to minimise impact on neighbouring properties and view of site from Carisbrooke Castle.

 

Decision:

 

Deferred for negotiations with applicant’s agent with a view to omitting balconies/decking from the scheme and to obtain further drawings, including sections through site, to show relationship between development and neighbouring properties to rear of and either side of the application site.
