Amended plans, chalet bungalow, garage and formation of vehicular access, land
rear of 2, Hungerberry Close, Shanklin
Consideration was given as to whether or not to
accept the amended plans “as built” in respect of the chalet bungalow, garage
and formation of vehicular access following receipt of objection as a result of
consultation with neighbouring properties.
RESOLVED :
THAT the submitted plan be accepted as an amendment
to the approved plan in accordance with condition 3 on the existing planning
permission, TCP/3513/E.

Paper C – tcp/25011 – Demolition of dwelling;
replacement detached house, edina, mill road, yarmouth
Consideration was given to
whether the circumstances justified the serving of an Enforcement Notice
requiring the reduction in the overall height of the newly constructed dwelling
within a specified time period.
RESOLVED :
THAT the Enforcement Notice is served requiring the
reduction in the overall height of the newly constructed dwelling by 0.67
metres measured from the finished floor level by lowering the overall roof
structure (i.e. reducing the height of the building from ground floor to
eaves). The period for compliance to be six months from the service of the
notice.

PAPER D – SERVICE PLAN 2003/2004, PROPOSED SERVICE IMPROVEMENTS –
DELEGATED AND SITE INSPECTIONS
Consideration was give to
the proposed amendments to the scheme of delegation in respect of planning
applications, to the proposed amendments to the scheme of delegation in respect
of enforcement matters and to the proposed protocols for Development Control
Committee Site Inspections.
RESOLVED :
THAT to agree to the proposed amendments to the
Scheme of Delegation (Planning Applications) as set out at Appendix A and to
refer the matter to Full Council.
THAT to agree to the Scheme of Delegation
(Enforcement) as set out at Appendix B and to refer the matter to Full Council.
THAT to approve the protocols for Development
Control Committee site inspections (Appendices C and D) and to introduce them
with immediate effect.
59.
URGENT BUSINESS
The Chairman agreed to two
items of urgent business, as decisions were required before the next meeting.
(a) TCP/9916KE
– The siting of two shipping containers at Helens Copse, Gate Lane, Freshwater
without the benefit of planning permission
Consideration was given to
whether the change in circumstances justified the serving of the Enforcement
Notice requiring the removal of two shipping containers from the land within a
specified time limit for compliance of three months.
RESOLVED :
THAT the Enforcement Notice
is served requiring the removal of the two shipping containers from the
land. The period of compliance to be
three months.
(b) TCP/10633S
– Three storey block of 14 flats and two storey terrace of six houses,
Springfield Court, Springvale Road, Seaview
Consideration was given to the applicants’ request of clarification on the additional financial contribution required for affordable housing in connection with the latest planning application seeking consent for an additional two houses on this site.
RESOLVED :
THAT an additional contribution of £45,650 required based on previous unit calculations on this site.
60. Schedule of Appeals
The Schedule of Appeals that had been lodged and decisions made was received.
