5. MINUTES

RESOLVED :
THAT the Minutes of the meeting held on 3 July 2001 be confirmed subject to an amendment to Minute 4 (ii) (b) TCP/5601C - Agricultural worker's dwelling at Farringford Farm, Bedbury Lane, Freshwater to read:-
THAT the variation of the agreement to enable the land to be sold separate from the dwellings but to restrict occupancy of both the dwelling approved in 1988 and the original farmhouse to a person solely or mainly working, or last working, in the locality in agriculture or in forestry, or a widow or widower of such a person, and to any resident dependants be agreed and prevent the properties being sold or sublet separately from each other.

Approved contrary to officers recommendation as Members felt there was sufficient justification for an exception to the normal restrictive planning policies in respect of the location of the retail development. They attached greater significance to employment related policies and to the exact nature of use.
