Much of my time is spent on constituency work regarding planning, housing, highways and other related issues. My Commission work keeps me busy by attending meetings, visiting schools and other educational events & workshops. As Champion for Children I recently went to the Young Carers Festival near Botley. I am also on Development Control Sub Committee, Licensing, Regulatory sub committee and HR Appeals Sub Committee. I work closely with Totland Parish Council and am a member of Freshwater Parish Council. In all I sit on 18 different committees working an average of 100 hours per week.

I spend a number of hours each week working for the community of Carisbrooke. I have spent many hours collecting signatures for the petition for the establishment of Carisbrooke Parish Council. Following this the Carisbrooke Village Management Committee was established and I am now the Chair. I have met with various Officers and Members of the Council to discuss local planning applications and highways issues. I have held a public meeting, with the MP in attendance, to discuss planning proposals and other local issues with 375 people attending.
