1.  Item 1 relates to the requirements of the DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ACT 1995, which must be provided by the year 2004.  The proposal is supported by detailed access surveys in 150 operational buildings which must be accessible to deliver services to t    
         
   
   
2.  Items 2, 3 and 4 relate to necessary improvement / replacement works to Council owned buildings.  This is a fully documented programme of works, the content of which is substantial.  These bids would enable a start to the most pressing items.    
         
   
   
3.  The bid for Northwood House provides for investment over a three year period.  This includes the provision of office accommodation for Wight Leisure as well as expenditure to meet requirements relating to English Heritage.  The proposals also include    
         
   
   
4.  The proposed canopy for the Main Entrance to County Hall is based on a clear corporate entrance identity for the public.  There may also be some cost savings in respect of energy efficiency.
