Decision taken	That Members note the Special Isle of Wight Policy submitted to SEERA for inclusion in the Consultation Draft South East Plan. That Members endorse the consultation process and commit to undertaking local consultations set out in paragraph 3.7, subject to any local variations as deemed fit.
Reason	To provide a vision for the region up to 2006 and comply with SEERA’s request for assistance on the consultation process to take place between January and March 2005.

Reason	The submission and approval of the Local Development Scheme (LDS) forms a vital role in delivering the Local Development Framework.

Options considered and rejected	Not to submit an LDS for approval at this stage. To submit a different LDS with a different range of documents and/or a different timescale for their delivery.
