ENVIRONMENT AND TRANSPORT SELECT COMMITTEE

Membership :           Mrs T M Butchers (Chairman), Mr M J Cunningham (Vice Chairman), Mr J R Adams, Mr A C Bartlett, Mrs B D Clough, Mr J Effemey, Mr J H Fleming, Mrs M J Miller, Mr V J Morey, Mrs E Oulton, (Two vacancies). The Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Council (Miss H L Humby and Mr J A Bowker) are non-voting members.

 

Portfolio Holders :    Mr E Fox - Transport, Mrs B Lawson - Agenda 21 and Countryside Matters


Any other member of the Council may attend the meeting and may speak with the permission of the Chairman provided that notification has been given to the Select Committee Support before the commencement of the meeting, such notification to detail which items the member is attending for.


AGENDA

 

1.          MINUTES - PAPER A - To confirm the Minutes of the meeting held on 30 January 2003.

 

2.          DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST - To invite Members to declare any interest they might have in the matters on the agenda.

 

3.          PUBLIC QUESTION TIME - To guarantee a full reply at the meeting, the question must be delivered in writing or by electronic mail to the Committee Administrator no later than 4.00 pm on Friday, 21 March 2003. Each question must give the name and address of the questioner. Questions may be asked at the meeting without prior notice but in these circumstances there is no guarantee that a fully reply will be given at the meeting.

 

4.          URGENT BUSINESS - To consider any matters which, in the Chairman's opinion, are urgent.


POLICY DEVELOPMENT

 

5.          RYDE MULTI MODAL INTERCHANGE - PAPER B - To consider the report of the Head of Engineering Services. An opportunity will then be given for relevant stakeholders and interested parties to contribute towards the discussions.

 

 

6.          MEMBERS’ QUESTION TIME - A question must be submitted in writing or by electronic mail to the Committee Administrator no later than 5.00 pm on Monday, 24 March 2003.

 

7.          NEXT MEETING - The next scheduled meeting will be held on Tuesday, 22 April 2003 at 9.30 am at County Hall, Newport. The agenda for that meeting is likely to include the Road Safety Strategy, Road Traffic Accidents Investigation, Prioritisation of Capital Schemes, Budget Monitoring and Rural Transport.
