Title:               ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL UPDATE

REPORT OF THE STRATEGIC DIRECTOR, EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Members will be presented with an update regarding the Isle of Wight Festival and have the opportunity of asking questions regarding progress to date with all aspects of the Festival.

BACKGROUND

On 13 November 2001 the Executive approved the staging of an all Island Music Festival, to be known as the Isle of Wight Festival, from 3 - 16 June 2002. This project is now well advanced and the Strategic Management Group receive regular updates on all aspects.

Members will be presented with an update in the following areas:

           1.        Project Team meetings to date and areas covered

           2.        Festival timetable and key milestones

           3.        Legals and licensing

           4.        Programme to date

           5.        Budget update

           6.        Sponsorship overview

           7.        Media and press log

           8.        Website update

           9.        Miscellaneous items

Following the update Members will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding any aspect of the Festival.
