REASON FOR SELECT COMMITTEE CONSIDERATION

A new Business Plan has been prepared by the Oglander Roman Trust. The new plan incorporates sensitively upgrading and refurbishing the historically significant site in Brading.  The development of new buildings, improved facilities and café will make this an all-year-round tourist and educational attraction and should double annual visitor numbers to approximately 40,000 each year.  The Chairman of the Economic Development, Planning, Tourism and Leisure Services Select Committee has requested that the Trustees attend the meeting so that the Members can be briefed on the latest situation regarding the Roman Villa.
