SUMMARY/PURPOSE

To present the Select Committee with Isle of Wight Tourism=s Best Value Report. A copy of the report and appendices are attached for members of the Select Committee only. Further copies are available from Committee Services.

BACKGROUND

Isle of Wight Tourism has conducted its Best Value Review during 2001/2002. The final draft was presented to the Best Value Appraisal Group on 10 April 2002. This report was approved and is now ready to be scrutinised by the Select Committee before going to the Isle of Wight Council Executive in due course.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS

Where aspects of the improvement plan have capital or revenue implications, these have been estimated within the report.

RECOMMENDATIONS

To discuss and to recommend the Executive to approve the Report.
